Keep it a game

Why a free machine is still 19+

These machines borrow the look, the sound and the rhythm of real gambling, and that is not an accident of styling. It is why Russet Pier is for adults at or over the legal gambling age where they live, and why nothing here is meant for anyone under 19. The question is put to you as a tick box when your account is made.

Things this site will not do

• Offer real-money gambling, or advertise it.
• Hand out prizes worth anything outside.
• Sell coins, or add a purchase of any kind.
• Link to an operator or an affiliate.
• Use timers or streaks to pressure you into returning.

An honest word

A free machine can be tuned to feel kind, and it tops you back up at no cost. Paid machines do neither. Winning here predicts nothing at all about a game played with money.

Signs to watch for

• Playing much longer than planned.
• Irritation when you stop.
• Opening it to escape how you feel.
• It is taking time from sleep, from work, from people.
• You start looking for the real-money version.

Staying in charge

• Set how long you are staying before you start, not during.
• Do not use autoplay.
• Take breaks.
• Clear the site's data and everything resets; block the site in your device settings if you want it gone.
